Tomb Ship reunites Peter "The Guv'nor" Davison's Fifth Doctor with Sarah Sutton's Nyssa in a Big Finish story that takes the Time Lord and Nyssa to a pyramid tomb ship that is floating in space. As usual they are not the only ones there and become enrolled in a bid to get the treasure and save themselves.

As per the "classic" format the story is split into four parts that end with a cliffhanger, which leaves you wanting more. Compared to the new series I miss this format, however there is the chance that one part doesn't deliver and it may even ruin the complete story. Thankfully that is not the case with Tomb Ship – the set up and pay off always deliver – and the TARDIS team of the Fifth Doctor and Nyssa is a team that will always have a place in my heart and this story is a great addition to their body of work.

The story which was written by Gordon Rennie and Emma Beeby feels classic in every sense and is captivating. The direction by Ken Bentley is top notch and you feel as if you are watching a brand new TV episode with the depth of description and feel that is created.

Big Finish have released another world class product of which I never see a loss of quality.

BLOGTOR RATING 10/10
Thanks to Big Finish
