I'd like to see a decent-lengthed documentary on the Doctor Who show, about how it's impacted culture, how it was originally conceived, with former and current cast and producers discussing it. Also maybe a Tennant and Smith interview together discussing their thoughts.

I'll be happy with just the show in question, but the special features above I would have loved to have seen on the DVD.

Anonymous' wished-for documentary sounds like what the Culture Show special will be aiming for.

Perhaps if we get a Day of the Doctor/Christmas 2013 box set (which I really hope we do), they'll include some of the other anniversary programming there.

I'm hoping for a 2013 Specials boxset, too. I'm still in two minds whether to buy the TDoTD disc or to hold out for a joint release in the new year.

They already did that. It was called "More Than 30 Years on the TARDIS" and it was released at the start of 2013 alongside Shada. And the conception of the show is being dramatized in the movie An Adventure in Space and Time which is presumably also to be released on DVD before Christmas.
