New Series 7 Part 2 details

The latest issue of the UK listings magazine the Radio Times have revealed some new details about Doctor Who Series 7 Part 2. The episode guide reveals that the Neil Gaiman Cybermen episode will be titled, Nightmare In Silver (and not The Last Cyberman as previously reported).

The Mark Gatiss episode featuring Vastra, Jenny and Strax (along with actress Dame Diana Rigg) is called The Crimson Horror and the story is told from the threesome's point of view; they "tackle a case of their own, and stumble across the Doctor's path, quite accidentally."

The Finale, as yet untitled, confirms that Alex Kingston will return as River Song and Steven Moffat promises: "There's going to be a revelation. I'm not teasing. I'm not wrong-footing you - you're about to learn something about the Doctor that you never knew before. And I think you're in for a shock..." New villains The Whispermen will make an appearance in this story.

On the the future, Matt Smith, the current Doctor Who, told the magazine, "I'm attached to the show for the next year and I take it year by year," whilst new girl Jenna-Louise Coleman has confirmed her involvement in Series 8.

The Radio Times is available now.

So The Crimson Horror will be a Doctor-lite episode and will essentially be the spin-off that everyone has been crying out for but still titled Doctor Who.
Colour me curiously intrigued!
